Moodle 12-13 is Now Available

Teachers: if you are planning to use Moodle for the 2012-13 school year (including summer reading), you can begin to build your courses in Next Year's Moodle

As we have upgraded Moodle over the last eight years, we have found that there are a number of problems with our database structure that cannot easily be corrected. Many of you have had a high level of frustration and many annoying and persistent problems this year. Switching to a clean installation should resolve these problems.

When you log in to the new Moodle system, you'll have to set up your profile. Then, shoot me an email (schinkerj@bbhcsd.org) so I can make you a course creator. It's a pretty basic installation. Let me know if you need a particular plugin or configuration change that's missing.

After June 18, the old Moodle installation will become read-only. This will allow you to continue to access it for archival purposes. But we won't be hosting any new or ongoing classes in it.

We WILL change the links this summer, so the old address will point to the new Moodle. That should make things less confusing for people using bookmarks and web links to access the system.

This site allows students and teachers to take advantage of Internet learning technologies. With it, teachers may post assignments, course information, links to Internet sites, and other resources for their classes.

Students in grades 6-12 and all teachers may get started by using their network usernames and passwords to access the system. Students in younger grades should contact their teachers for more instructions if they're using this system.

This site is an extension of the classroom, hosted on the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools network. As such, participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the rules outlined in the student handbook. Anonymous access is prohibited. Students are responsible for all activity originating from their accounts.
